This page is about us ... The Magovern Family
I'm Florence, Charlie's business partner and
spouse since 1982. I met him by chance on a chair lift in Vail,
Colorado. Now we have two daughters, Alanna and Alison, both
with red hair. (Click images to zoom) In the early days of our
business, the main focus was the lapidary trade from manufacturing
to selling finished stones, hence the name:
- The Stone Company.

Over the years, the scope of our interest has grown to
a much broader category of natural history services. Today we
offer traveling exhibits and natural history appraisals as well
as fossil acquisition and preparation services.

Our traveling exhibit Hatching
the Past is a blend of arts and science that
investigates the mysteries of dinosaur reproductive behavior.
Please visit the exhibits section of our site to learn more about
it. Our daughter, Alanna shown here on the left, entertains with
Topsy, her animated
pet Triceratops. FAQ "Is
it real?"
We remain a small family business offering
our personal attention to every detail. Over the years, we have
developed an extensive international network for acquiring natural
history specimens as well as high quality reproductions.

We
have served jewelry shops, galleries, collectors and museums
throughout the U.S. and abroad. Thank you for visiting our site.
Your comments and questions are always welcome.
National Geographic has a web story about Charlie's discovery
of the dinosaur embryo "Baby Louie" and other dinosaur
egg stories on-line. The story won recognition as yahoo's site
of the week when it was first launched in 1996. You can click
